And at Fakenham Races throughout the season as part of “The Norfolk Picnic”

Norman is a Master Baker and one of Rick Stein’s food heroes. He’s also one of our heroes!

He’s truly passionate about great food and works a lot with local schools, teaching children about the alternatives to the supermarket.

He’s a great friend of ours and we often go over for a chat and advice.

	It is quite wonderful spending a couple of hours in the warm, sweet atmosphere of an old-fashioned bakers - and Norman is a delight; full of interesting information and such good company.

Norman supplies his wonderful bread around the county and he also sells direct from the Bakery on Eastgate Street in North Elmham and his shop in Dereham.

He would say that he’s nothing special and just doing what thousands of bakers did fifty years ago. Local people (and Rick Stein) know differently.

He’s one of the treasures we should value and use.
