Nell Montgomery
Brought up in a rural Norfolk family that believed in good things like self-sufficiency and an outdoor life, she showed great early promise which she proceeded to fulfill by going to Cambridge and then having a glittering career in London and New York. The outdoor life called long and hard though, and she and her partner moved back to Norfolk and started a small-holding at Bray’s Cottage, which had previously been a cow shed and then an artist’s studio.

Sarah Pettegree
Sarah lives a mile down the road from Bray’s Cottage in Hindolveston. She comes from a farming family and is an artist, photographer, website builder and, if forced, a Management Accountant on a consultancy basis.
And is passionate about the best of food production and rural sustainability.

|
Nell and Sarah met in early 2005 when Nell was buying Bray’s Cottage. Very quickly they realised they should be working together to make the most of their shared sense of humour and values. Since when they have been plotting to create that opportunity.
In the autumn of 2006 a bottle of champagne was cracked open and Bray’s Cottage Pork Pies became it.
